Gay Russia

On the western side of Europe, when talking about gay Russia, it already brings  ideas of goodlooking blond guys, close to the BelAmy ideal, fit guys with eloquence and fair skin.. nonetheless, all related to porn and hustling. Which is a wrong idea of what the Russian gay reality is all about.

Most times we receive films from the Czech republic and other ex-soviet union countries, believing they're all russian films, when in fact the porn industry (film makers) in Russia is quite low and not a market so well developed on this aspect.

Russia, being one of the countries holding more people on the Top Forbes List, and with a less closed attitude than other eastern european countries, is still, in fact, a society still developing its way towards a more open minded vision surrounding gay acts, legislation and free-living life style.

For gay russians, the life style in their homeland is still under development, and with a long way to go, accepting gay civil unions or at least an open Gay Parade, where all people can just walk together and gain more respect.

During this year 2010, the gay parade in Moscow was discriminated and even forbidden by the government (especially by the local authorities in Moscow) where a few bunch of people (no more than 25) managed to walk a few streets, with no police protection, and claim back their rights for a free living lifestyle.
